Name |
Cady Puffer Olmstead [2] |
- As to how her youngest children could be born after George had died and still be listed as his children, "She simply listed that George was the father even though he had been dead for many years. Charlotte Gilbert Puffer, Stella's mother-in-law, did not feel that Stella was an 'appropriate' mother for her three legitimate children: Georgia Alice (1888), Cady (1889 - my grandfather) and Julia (1891) and so Charlotte took them to her daughter Julia Puffer Olmstead in Wisconsin. The three children were raised by Charlotte and Julia and her husband George Olmstead. George was later transferred to Idaho where he became Supervisor of the Railroad Company and Vice President of a bank." Sharon (granddaughter of Cady Puffer).

Notes |
- WWI Veteran, Sgt. Co. C. 40th Infantry Division
With his siblings, he was raised by his aunt and uncle, Julia Nancy Puffer and George Olmstead. Some records show him with the Olmstead surname, but he's a Puffer.
